I have been visiting Sohum eye care for my son. We were being referred to Dr. Abhijeet Desai by one of his earlier patients. However, we have noticed that Dr. Abhijeet though available in the clinic, is never present for our son's consultation. We have encountered this issue 3 times.
Whenever we book an appointment on call, we check with the receptionist Ms. Pratibha for Dr. Abhijeet’s appointment. Once the appointment is confirmed, we visit the clinic and while submitting the patient’s file in the clinic, we once again remind the receptionist that we want consultation with Dr. Abhijeet as per appointment booked. The receptionist says yes at that time. But, later on, we are sent to another Dr., “which is very frustrating and annoying to say the least”.
We have been referred to Dr. Abhijeet and we were told during the booking of the appointment that he is available, then why are we being routed to another Dr. at the time of consultation. We have experienced this 3 times in a span of 2 months now and have already shared this with the receptionist Ms. Pratibha today i.e.., 12th Sep 2025. We are coming here with a lot of hope and as parents, we want our child to be treated by the best doctor i.e.., Dr. Abhijeet. I would appreciate if this is taken seriously and when an appointment is confirmed for Dr. Abhijeet, he attends to the patient rather than any other Dr.

My Dad had recently undergone Ptosis Surgery with Dr.Abhijeet Desai at Sohum Eye Care Center, and We couldn't be happier with the results. Dr Abhijeet is highly skilled and knowledgeable and takes time to explain everything from pre to post surgery and answers all queries.
Though my Dad being a Diabetic, the recovery period was faster than we expected. The staff were friendly and accommodating and all the procedures and the entire process went smoothly.
