Extremely Unsafe Practices and Poor Emergency Response.

We consulted Dr. Abhilash Nali, practicing at Laparoscopy & Laser Clinic, Kondapur, for my father’s (65 years) laparoscopic epigastric hernia surgery.
All pre-surgery health check-up parameters were completed in advance and were completely normal.

The surgery was performed by Dr. Abhilash Nali at Apollo Spectra, Kondapur on 16 June 2025, and my father was discharged the very next day.

For the first three days post-surgery, he appeared normal. Later, he began complaining of abdominal pain and we assumed this was part of the normal recovery process.
During our post-surgery consultation, the doctor suggested waiting a couple of days and did not mention that infection from the mesh was a possible complication.

The very next day, his pain worsened severely, when we called the hospital staff for urgent help, we were told the doctor was in another surgery and would only be available the next day. At least staff did not advise us to bring him to the hospital for immediate review with doctor, directly saying come tomorrow for review with doctor.

We eventually had to rush him to a different hospital in a critical condition, where the cause was correctly diagnosed and emergency surgery was performed
on 28-June-2025 to remove the infected mesh and to control the infection.

This was happened due to the use of unsterilized surgical equipment, My Father contracted a severe fungal infection that spread to multiple organs, including the lungs and liver.

The surgery went very smoothly, and my recovery has been good thanks to the proper guidance and follow-up care given by the team. The hospital atmosphere is clean, calm, and reassuring, which really helped me stay relaxed.
